Real hackers are opportunists
Others see something to complain about. Hackers see opportunities.

Real hackers are opportunists
When a computer system crashes,
hackers get excited,
while others complain.
While at first they both think:
“There is a bug somewhere.”
A hacker follows up with:
“I might be able to create a 0day and hack it”
Then opens the disassembler and start working.
Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t.
Either way,
one walks out with experience in peace,
one walks out with only frustration.
I have seen people complain about anything.
In fact, I used to be one of them.
But once I realized:
Every complain I had,
was an opportunity to someone else.
I decided to switch sides.
Now I see everything differently.
From complaining about:
“A vulnerability scan is not a pentest”
“Pentesting is not red teaming”
To being curious:
“I wonder what makes people think it’s the same thing?”
“It’s going to be extra rewarding educating non-technical audiences”
Now that “problem” becomes a new way to earn.
That’s why I have great respect for people who posts their updates,
but rarely complaining about anything.
Because they are too busy seizing opportunities.
And that's what make them hackers.
